Grebfruit


Benny Greb is Germany’s up-and-coming drummer. His concepts, technique, and musicality, but most of all his touch and sound on the drum set is one of a kind and has never been heard before. beyerdynamic is proud to accompany and support him in his further career.

In 2005, Benny released his highly acclaimed CD "Grebfruit" for which he played not just the drums but also “acted” as singer, bassist, guitarist, tuba player, composer, and producer. Among his guests were Peter Wölpl (Billy Cobham), Judith Holofernes (Wir sind Helden), Ron Spielman, Dirk Meissner (Jazz for Starships), and Thomas Lang. For vocal and instrument recordings the MC 740 large diaphragm condenser microphone was used. For his drums he trusts in Opus 99 (Bass Drum), Opus 87 and 88 (Toms),  M 201 TG (Snare Drums), and MC 930 (Overhead, Hihat).

Benny recently got spot in the artist library of "Famous Drummers of Rock Jazz" in the category "Modern Drums". (www.drummerworld.com)
