Opus 900

The PC-controllable Opus 900 UHF system is the new flagship product of beyerdynamic’s wireless systems. It provides superior flexibility for different applications and features a rugged design as well as easy handling. The NE 900 receiver is available as a single, two-channel or four-channel receiver with 99 pre-programmed or freely selectable UHF frequencies per frequency band. There are different dynamic, condenser and electret condenser capsules available for the ergonomically designed handheld transmitter. The compact TS 900 M (metal housing) and TS 900 C (plastic housing with charging contacts) beltpack transmitters can be used with appropriate clip-on or neckworn microphones for a variety of applications.

Wireless System with CobraNet Connector

beyerdynamic is proud to be the first manufacturer to present a wireless system with CobraNet for digital transmission. The new NE 900 D Cobra 2-channel-receiver for the Opus 900 wireless system provides an integrated CobraNet interface to connect the receiver to all CobraNet-capable devices of more than 40 manufacturers.  Transmission is via standard CAT.5 Ethernet cables.

CobraNet connectivity presents many significant advantages for the beyerdynamic wireless system, especially for large-capacity systems or complex buildings with many rooms. The cabling is considerably reduced, as with the CobraNet technology up to 32 channels can be transmitted into each direction with a single 100-Mbit network cable. In addition to saving of time the connection is easily comprehensible.  Maximum flexibility is also achieved, as signals can be sent from any node.  Settings can be quickly changed via software without any cabling changes. The receiver can be placed anywhere in the room making installation in space starved environments easier. Analogue inputs requirements are reduced saving the cost of multiple audio cable runs. The digital transmission via CobraNet is less interference-prone than the analogue transmission, ensuring a high sound quality even over long distances.
